4Sheets Shantymen: The Story

The age of sail brought us the songs of the sea. The working songs of the day eased  the stress and effort required for the turning of a Capstan, the pulling of a Sheet or the pumping of a bilge. 

4Sheets Shantymen first embarked on their musical voyage of discovery together in 2019. Dave, Eddie, Mike and Paul are a group of like minded men who enjoy singing Shanties and as Sea Songs.

The origins of these songs can be traced back to the early 1600's where the songs were more of a sound rather than a song. Since then the songs have evolved into what we hear today.
